HHYSMF:
In 2004, “ Your sFace or Mine?”, a new media net art project was presented, centered around the concept of cloning and identity.
2013, saw the 1st update as “Your sFace or Mine, Anonymity”, in which the broader acceptance of “individual” was first and foremost.
Now, in 2016-17, The HHYSMF Project has greatly expanded both the idea of “identity,“ and “intimacy,“ as transformative time-traveling vectors and how we present that persona idea spatially — graphically — symbolically.
In this section the focus will be on the Individual works. The works posted daily on Tumblr form the core of The HHYSMF Project. As described on the Index page above, these works were generated as digital paintings/drawings/collages as works formed with a "single-line" constraint in a limited time window — always under the theme of "identity,“ and “intimacy,“ here and now. The spectrum of just exactly — if there ever was such a confining boundary — what all does one's identity encompass. Certainly it changes with time, but also with place — with context — and those other "identities" that surround. The neural net that is the surrogate for whom we "really are" is itself under the influence, shadings, distortions, what have you, of the primary function of the brain — beyond survival — that is to make "sense" of the world and one's place in it. Change can occur over most any time span. These impetuous, often impromptu, deliberate, yet intuitive images, betray (hopefully) one's flushing out the "sense" of being alive! And intimacy is what binds us all.
