Preliminary color studies done in 2008 for work in progress. "Solar Flares" are small works in acrylic on canvas paper. "Beachscapes" are slightly larger works in acrylic on board. These, and future, color studies are quick, intuitive brushed-out works which will inform the larger body of acrylic and encaustic works that I am working on as of 2010.
